| I have a simple 6 page website for a chronic health condition hosted here. I also have a Yahoo Group that is linked to the site. But I'd like to have a forum integrated and I see on cPanel there PhpMyChat and Bulletin Board. The provider's link for PhpMyChat doesn't work. I have also seen Vanilla form a Google search and someone else from another forum reckons SMF. I'd want to have the forum restricted to members only so that they and their content is protected. Vanilla seems to offer a good deal of configurability as far as I can tell from their excellent instructive website. What do others recommend, given what I've said, please. | Hi Rob The only one I've used is phpBB, but I'd definitely recommend it. As long as you remember to check every month or so and upgrade to each new version as it comes along, it's really good. Installation is a breeze. The toughest bit (if you've never done it before) is getting your mysql database set up with a password and a username first: not rocket science or anything, just needs you to follow through the steps. phpBB is free (download from phpbb.com) and it has a terrific online community: the support forum is really fast and friendly.
