| I'm new here and new to using a domain name with a web hosting co. I'm a little worried about the security of cPanel. I either get a warning (Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate) and the usual IE7 warning bar on clicking the "Auto login to cPanel" button, or, if it doesn't happen then, when I log out of it the address bar goes orange with a red warning symbol where the padlock normally is. Anyone know of any issues with this, please? Thanks Last edited by rob53 : 05-09-2008 at 01:42 PM. Reason: omission |

| Hi, Let me put your mind at rest, you are seeing this error as the certificate for the cpanel secure access is a self signed one, however this does not mean its any less secure. You can safely continue passed the errors that some browsers will give you. If you do not wish to see these errors you can access the cpanel via the non secure port http://www.yourdomain.com:2082 but we always recommend accessing your cpanel via the secure port. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Dream-hosting.co.uk Admin |
