| Hello All, Thank you for reading the first 2008 Dream Hosting news letter. Here we aim to briefly give you an update of the latest news and changes happening in Dream Hosting now, and in the future. Dream Hosting has continued to go from strength to strength in recent years, and we look forward to this trend continuing for years to come. New DNS Cluster In an effort to improve our service and resilience, we have moved to a new, distributed DNS Cluster. This ensures if a server is disabled, we have 4 points of failure to fall back on. It also makes managing your sites much easier as all sites can simply point to the same set of name servers. Backup System We will shortly be launching a state of the art backup system, known as Continuous Data Protection. This system allows you, as a user to login to a control panel, and restore ANY file from your account with the click of a button, from various dates in the past. Other advantages include much more frequent restore points, easy to use interface, greater speed and reliability, and end user (you!) manageability. Servers We continuously monitor and improve our servers, mid 2007 saw all of Dream Hosting servers go up to all Dual Processor, Dual Core Intel Xeon processors , with 4GB of RAM. Now our next generation are Dual Processor, Quad Core Intel Xeons, ensuring you get the fastest speed day and night. DPanel Area A new, improved version of the DPanel account management and support area is in development and in full swing, and will be arriving shortly. As well as advanced account management features, it will allow you to control many more aspects of your website via your DPanel area, allowing you to get what you want, quicker. Thanks for reading, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. Regards, |
