Hi,

A little after I posted my question, I did try the auto-configure and it did indeed fail.

So I managed to get it manually confured OK, though I had to use my ISP's SMTP server address that I use for other email addresses not connected with my ISP, to make it work, as mail.yourdomain.co.uk address would not work for me. It did say somewhere that it might be necessary to use ISP's SMTP server for reliable sending, though I don't understand why. But no matter - it works!
